More measures : Ontario that has billions in contracts with US suppliers is seeking to end any they can and ban any new bids from the US. Electricity they are going to first consider a 25% tariff and then consider just shutting off the power supply to the US. A 100% tariff on Tesla is being seriously considered federally.

Also read some interesting facts. US debt to GDP has grown a lot the last decade, whereas Canada's has shrunk. You simply can't afford any of this, your heading towards a govt funding crisis which will be exasperated by declining tax revenues ( more unemployment, less tax revenue ). US auto sector is about to implode.

We've accepted that this a full on trade war based on false premises and take up the challenge. What is it with you Americans and your false premises ( eg WMDs mean Iraq must be invaded ) ?

But that prize is already discredited, because Obama got it, right?

  4. ...forcing Ukraine to give up land to the aggressor, and then extorting it for its mineral rights? You mean that Nobel Peace Prize? More of an Ignoble Piece Prize, no? Everybody gets a piece of Ukraine.

It won't matter anyway after your economy collapses. They could give out subsidies. Even Henery Ford couldn't sell cars in the Great Depression.

Face it guys... its time to kiss the ring. :p

You're dreaming if you don't think the US is facing recession right now, too.

Big difference between a recession and a depression though.

If it comes to the latter, Canada is actually better positioned to weather it, because Canada's ecological footprint is smaller, not even that much larger than sustainably-sized. What does that have to do with anything? It means Canada is closer to being able to go on with sharply reduced imports than the US is able.

Sure, collapse is gong to hurt, but it will hurt Americans more. And they know it, which is why we're hearing their talk of territorial expansion. An old trick, one e.g. the Roman Empire used for a few centuries.

We need to cut off the alcohol going to Canada.
