The Real Cost of being a Proprietary Equity Trader

  1. Remember the basics, trading is very simple (not easy however). It's just that most people trade the wrong markets for the wrong reasons with the wrong tools. And, they try to do it on the low buck accounts. It takes money to make money, but you also have to have your strategies understood and "doable" - not get caught up with what "could" happen (win/loss etc.) and go with what "is" happening.

I know it's a broken record, but I prefer the simple stuff.

If I had a choice of making a $million/year playing a sport, and had the choice between Hockey and Bowling, I woul obviously prefer bowling...this same stupid analogy applies to the instrument traded.

(Isn't this like one of our slowest trading days? LOL).

    Don :)
