  6. You should realize that an increase in PPI is only important right now if that cost can be effectively passed on to the consumer. That is why the PPI is so volatile, while the CPI is more steady. Many temporary PPI increases are eaten by the wholesalers who aren't able to pass those costs on. Yes this cuts into the profits of the wholesalers, but it doesn't result in inflation. This market is inflation driven right now. Bad earnings are going to be ignored and good earnings are simple going to reafirm the rally. The only thing that matters right now is "soft landing". Everything else is only import as it indirectly affects the soft landing scenario.

    i for one am curious on the market behavior here, related to the programs.


    will a simple index number, dow12k, be an important enough varriable in algorithms to cause action? oooo, the suspense!

    anyone have any other indicators that are flashing buy/sell over the past 5 sessions?
