Odds.Odds are if you are born into poverty and poor educational opportunities you are likely to fail, even if some succeed. Until black children have the same opportunities as white children I support affirmative action.
The African America leadership has really let their people down. There is a lack of positive thinking across the board. The primary voice of the African American community is expressed via Rap Music. "You're Not Thug Enough To Be Black." I remember reading about the city of Chicago school system coming up with a requirement that you had to write a small essay on what you were going to do after high school to graduate. Part of the African American community called this racist because they stated that how was someone suppose to know what they will be doing in the future? "Odds are if you are born into poverty and poor educational opportunities you are likely to fail, even if some succeed." Let's use the Irish as an example.
Let’s explore the economic concept of supply and demand, apply this concept to the jobs market, and compare it to Trump’s policies. The supply demand curve is a graphic representation of price levels versus quantities supplied or demanded for most things. Sometimes it can be confusing whether to consider something as supply or demand as in the case of job openings. This curve can be applied to goods and services. When an external force increases demand, prices tend to rise. The same tendencies apply an external force reduces supply. Below is a table of Trump’s policies and their effect on the job market: Border security and limiting entry of illegal alliens. Long term labor supply limited, causing upward wage pressure. Tax and regulatory reductions. Demand for employees increased through increased risk taking in a business friendly environment. Upward wage pressure. Fair trade agreements. Restructuring trade agreements so as to bring back jobs to the US. Demand for employees increased. Increased wage pressure. As can be seen above, Trump’s policies positively affect the working class from an economic perspective. This effect reaches well beyond trucking. It is a great situation for the working class where employers have to bid up wages in order to get their job vacancies filled and minimum wage laws effectively become moot. Trump may not be perfect, but there are sound reasons why minorities are seeing record employment numbers in his administration. For those who like to ask the question: “Is he Black enough?”, Based on what Trump has done for minorities, he is blacker than Obama.
Although I will probably be going to hell for my gross attempt at cultural appropiation, attached below is the theme song for Shaft with inappropiately modified lyrics: Who's the black private dick that’s a sex machine to all the chicks? (Trump) You're damn right Who is the man that would risk his neck for his brother, man? (Trump) Can ya dig it? Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about? (Trump) Right on You see this cat Trump is a bad mother (Shut your mouth) But I'm talkin' about Trump (Then we can dig it) He's a complicated man but no one understands him but his woman (Melania Trump)
Do you know why they're disadvantaged? Because black fathers don't stick around to help the mother raise them. Why should a white or asian kid be penalized for his parents doing the right thing and sticking together to raise them? It is ABSOLUTELY racist to give someone an advantage over another just because of their skin color. The fact is, the black kid that makes it to harvard might have grown up in a weathly family. He/she might have been raised very well by a 2 parent household. But you want to give him an advantage over someone that worked harder simply because he has the same skin color as someone disadvantaged? That's literally the definition of a racist policy.
https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/pre...es-heres-why-the-whole-scandal-was-inevitable Just being black quadruples your chances of admission to Harvard. The university claims that if race were not a factor, then the percentage of blacks at the school would fall to 0.6 percent, compared with the current 14 percent. The Asian share of the student body would be at least 43 percent, by Harvard’s own estimate, compared with 18 percent, if race were removed from the admissions equation. The University of Michigan in 2003 gave racial minorities 20 extra admission points; legacies got four extra points. A 1990 federal investigation of Harvard’s admission practices found that the SAT scores of legacies were 120 points above those of black students admitted.
Still not likely to have the same advantages of a rich white kid. Most times I hear of a smart black kid getting into Harvard they come from a public school,a good public school but nothing compared to the 40,000 a year private schools with unlimited 50 dollar an hour tutoring most white applicants came from that most black parents could never afford .I fully support affirmative action helping those black kids get into to Harvard or other good schools.Again,Harvard is only 14% black. If another privileged white or chinese kid couldn't crack the other 86% to bad for them.
