  4. Edge goes to Biden. The bar was low and he cleared it. Trump was Trump. The self proclaimed greatest salesman in the world who does not know when to STFU, keeps talking past the close.
2021 promises to be worse than 2020 regardless of who wins. Much worse.

A few take away a from last nights debate:

    • Trump needs to add women to his support and that performance last night did not help. My wife couldn’t watch it after the first half hour. The whole thing was a disgrace to the country to be fair to her.

    • Trump probably lost more college educated voters last night. That performance was like a meth head straight out of a trailer park. Unhinged doesn’t even describe it.

    • Biden got talked over, over and over again. Normally that’s bad but, to be honest, I don’t know if anyone can handle someone acting the way Trump did without going to Trump’s level.

    • All of the rhetoric about Biden having cognitive problems and Trump didn’t even give him any time to make a gaffe. I doesn’t make sense.

I don’t know if the strategy was to bait Biden into a screaming match and make him look like the old guy shaking his fist on his lawn but it didn’t work.

And I honestly don’t know if the insults Biden lobbed toward Trump were appropriate or not. In a normal circumstance Biden would be out of line for some of the things he said but it’s almost understandable.

    • Donald Trump took over the debate and said some nonsense in public while acting like a hot head. It makes you wonder how his briefings and meeting go. When people tell him stuff he doesn’t want to hear does he just start yelling at them?

Incorrect. This first debate was to fire up the base and Trump did that magnificently. Biden did nothing to excite his base if he even has one. In fact, he distanced himself from The Leftists AOC and Bernie Sanders.

Right, fire up the base who will vote for him no matter what he says or does. They need to be fired up.

Meanwhile, taking people who are uncertain and looking for something to help them decide and alienating them. Wonderful strategy.

Hey, I know. Post a "FALSE" as a reply to this. That'll show me.

Trump was Trump? That is the biggest understatement since the founding of the Commission on Presidential Debates. At no time since 1988 has anyone who participated even come remotely to looking as unhinged as Donald Trump.

Last night’s debate is a historical record in the decline of the United States of America.

My analysis will age well. First debate to fire up the base and open holes in Biden's "base" and then crush Biden in the next 2 debates. Not only did Trump get Biden to disavow AOC and Bernie Sanders, he also got him to blow his lid and declare "I am the Democrat Party". This will be news to Nancy Pelosi and Chuck U Schumer. ---At first blush, people will say that Trump interrupted too much, but it was by design and a good design it was.

Elsewhere you said, "Biden won". However, this reply points to Trump winning. How? By lowering turnout.
