  1. Wow.

The bear has awoken with a roar.

    Caveat emptor.

  2. this came across my desk - i thought it was poignant...

"When markets want to move higher and bulls have their mojo, any signs of trouble are isolated and set aside. So it is today. Tech heavyweights with bad news like Intel Corp. (INTC), Dell Inc. (DELL) and Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) to name a few are still flirting with 52-week lows, and their plight is ignored. That’s the mood today as bulls were encouraged by Oracle Corp.'s (ORCL) and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT). "

I realized he was right - the crappy companies are expected to be crappy. The market is shifting it's focus from a gloom-and-doom persona to accepting there are some companies that have simply lost their edge. Focus is turning away from sectors to individual companies that are expected to perform well. (AAPL, T, GOOG)

If one of the new bellwethers falls, then we have problems. As of now, the rotation is on.
