In another thread it was suggested that I start "my own thread." I said that I could but that it would probably not last long as without some sort of frame to hold my interest, it simply would not hold my interest. A few weeks ago a discussion in yet another thread here put it into my mind to fund one of my TDA accounts down to $26,000 which is where I start my trainees. I thought it would be interesting for me to see how long it would take for me to work up to size according to the scoring rubric I use for new traders. Of course, that is as far as it got. Perhaps if I were to start a thread here I could use that slant, and that might keep me on task for more than a few days.
I knew a Chinese day trader in Hacienda Heights, California who had family in a room that looked like something out of Church Bingo Night. All accounts were funded with $100k each because he traded only high dollar stocks during the Auto Ex Arb period. He was telling me he would yell "Buy" in Cantonese all 30 bought 2000 JDSU @ $70. He yells sell with all 30 hitting the Bid @ $70 3/8s. E-Trade got a call from the MM yelling they were short or long 100,000 shares JDSU or AMAT after his raid. 100,000 shares looking for upside down Bid-Ask sns him in their top earners. 2002 was brutal, auto ex went away leaving that trading worthless. Edited: MM out of SF, they quit making a market after his team clipped them for $500k one day. Not sure if it was Robby?
Tuesday I turned a $800 gain down to +$200 on Tuesday so nothing huge to write home about in this account. Wed 8-5-2020 chased SQ at the Open buying when SQ was $154, selling at as it hit $157.88-$158.00 leaving a gain of $1083.13. Traded small size which made the trade feel better because SQ feel reasonable.
Holding some great positions in Second Piker, this is a continuation of the Unrealized Gains with a Realized Loss showing full transparency to my Journal.
I bought CBAT at $2s and sold at $4.00 and $4.05 starting the Pre-Market day with a decent run on a choppy day. Got another trade for my Pike Pike Piker new $5000 account I started.
