I did not realize that anybody was interested in this thread. I am getting overwhelmed with all the encouraging PM's and emails ... I guess I better post this spreadsheet so that you can compare it to my dealers transaction history above. But really system traders...consider discretionary trading. Look outside your system and study its equity curve. Then compare you equity curve to anything that you can find that correlates. This will be very powerful to you. Michael B.
Rememeber...first expose yourself...then trade your drawdown and leverage through hedging...no stops are needed. Please excuse me for speaking in general terms, but if you get your thinking right you will find your way.... Michael B. P.S. This is only one way of trading and there are many different viewpoints, methods and styles...Find your way. I am discovering that many traders do not like Drawdowns so perhaps this is the reason for the interest in this thread. (hehe interest get it? ) P.P.S. Accredited investors DEMAND this sort of trading and Hedge Funds do not care if your a nice guy...if you do not maintain the stats your out faster than it takes you to get in! Otherwise it does not matter how many millions you trade if you think in percent and not dollars. Liquidity is NEVER a problem in Forex, but if I am ever given that kind of Volume that it would be a problem, I wouldn't be here talking to you folks, would I?
DON'T U UNDERSTAND ELECTRICSAVANT.? it doesn't take but a week or 2 for the smart boys/girls to learn it all in this business...........if u don't believe that read the thousands of elite forum messages..........LOL..........happy trading
Having been away for a while I now return to find you doing well. No surprise, Congrats! Enjoy that deserved breather. I will take the next day or so to print out this thread and read, and learn a bit. Thanks for taking the time to share the wisdom. Once again I will sit on the sidelines and view the traffic. From that vantage point sometimes you can learn a lot!
I have now read this thread a few times and maybe it is me being too close to the words (screen) to see it. What software do you use for your trading here? It's fascinating what you have accomplished. And if you have really put most of the anxiety in check, that is wonderful.
