lol... well, I've posted them three times already in this thread, but for you, Z, I wil post them a fourth time. You made claims about Reagan being a centrist. You were challenged using three specific examples; you refused to respond. Pabst challenged your analysis of California politics, again citing specific examples. Then he used direct quotes from your posts to show that you are flip-flopping with regard to your other statements re: Reagan. We await your responses to these direct challenges to your statements. We also have pending your answers to the questions posed to you in several other threads. Of most interest to me is your claim that your use of the phrase 'goose stepping' does not evoke images of Nazi Germany. There are a lot of questions hanging around out there that you have evaded, Z. We'll take answers to any of them
No, the point is, doofus, that you're the pot calling the kettle black. Now stfu. "Mods, mods, Ricter called me a doofus!"
just btw... you accused someone else in this thread of 'intellectual dishonesty' And yet, in this thread you made several claims, and then when you realized that those claims were inaccurate, instead of just posting and providing a mea culpa, you said "I generally try to provide sufficient fodder to allow people to reach their preconceived ideas....makes them feel like they are actually winning, that sort of thing...." suggesting that all your arguments were simply an elaborate attempt to bait your opponents. So either way, you lose, Z. If this is true, then none of the content of any of your threads has any meaning. If its not true, then you are proven to be the very thing you accuse Pabst of being - that is, intellectually dishonest! Damn!! I have just realized that this is basically the end! Essentially what you are saying in the above quote is 'Nothing I say can be taken seriously. The things I say are just bait - they are designed to evoke a response in others, they are not my true beliefs'.
lol... well, I've posted them three times already in this thread, but for you, Z, I wil post them a fourth time. You made claims about Reagan being a centrist. Here is exactly what I posted: Reagan was able to bring people together, Bush and his crew, supported in his efforts by Coulter, Hannity, Limbaugh et. al are not uniters....they are dividers. I personally am not a fan of Reagan, but at least he was able to govern from more of a centrist position rather than from the extreme, as was Clinton, which is probably the reason for their continued popularity. He governed more from a centrist position rather than the extreme. Try to figure out the difference between calling him a centrist, and saying he governed from more of a centrist position than from the extreme. It might hurt your brain, but try to see the difference... You were challenged using three specific examples; you refused to respond. Refused to respond? LOL. He challenged your analysis of California politics, again citing specific examples. Then Pabst used direct quotes from your posts to show that you are flip-flopping with regard to your other statements re: Reagan. He gave his opinion, I gave my own opinion, then he took someone elses opinion and attributed it to me. Of course it was fallacious of him to do so, but he thought he was winning...so what can you do? Pabst thinks he is patriotic because he is crude. Go figure. There is rarely any reasoning with Pabst, he thinks he knows California history and politics better than those who live here. We await your responses to these direct challenges to your statements. As I have said many time in response to your "we" position: Weee, weeee, weeee....all way home. We also have pending your answers to the questions posed to you in several other threads. I think Spain is looking for some inquisitors.... Of most interest to me is your claim that your use of the phrase 'goose stepping' does not evoke images of Nazi Germany. I gave a dictionary definition already. Anyone can look it up, here I will give you a helping hand. Look here: http://www.onelook.com/?w=goose+step&ls=a No where does goose step refer to Nazis. Goose step marching has been around for a long time, it simply refers to people who think and act in lock step manner, rigid, militaristic, etc. You projected the Nazi into it, not me.... There are a lot of questions hanging around out there that you have evaded, Z. We'll take answers to any of them You don't like the answers, so what else is new? Frankly, if you had to employ reasoning skills to make a living, you would starve....
If I were to point out all the logical fallacies and logical problems with what you just posted, would you then let it go? I doubt it...... Why bother then....
