K, here is the explanation, in plain, scientific 'Glish.

Imagine a man running around the world, touching and handling all sorts of things in public, and that man suddenly decides he needs to pee. When he gets to the public restroom, he will see one of two versions of a sign. It goes like this...

    1. "Employees must wash their hands after using the restroom".

    2. "Employees must wash their hands before leaving the restroom".

So, as a man, said man looks at that and thinks, "Hmm, good advice".

He then proceeds to unzip his pants and grasp his penis to direct the flow of the urine into the urinal/toilet, so as to not make a mess.

So the man has grabbed hold of his penis with his hands coated with germs galore BEFORE washing his hands. At that point, he is infected with whatever is on his hands, because the penis has a very very thin epidermal layer, which will absorb many germs (virii/bacterium) those hands may have.

Logically then, the question is begged..."Why would you not wash your hands both BEFORE and after using the restroom?"

Get it. Except in the case where a man hasn't touched and handled all sorts of things in public.

Don't know if you ever saw the Penn & Teller HBO series Bullshit which gave the viewpoint that our "privates" front and back, if regularly cleaned and untouched, are not bad bad germ sites.

That being the case and with many buildings (grocery stores, airport terminals & gubmint facilities etc) having automatic doors most should be cognizant of whether they need to clean before or not. Well maybe not most, because in my experience most don't clean after.

you just wrote unadulterated pure bullshit... for the 50th time.

who has actually designed policies to isolate the high risk and protect them....
while letting the risk observe social distancing but live their lives?

Your insane "only lock down the at risk" and other proposed policies have failed globally across every nation. It's time for you to give up pushing this nonsense.

For a proper public health response -- take a look at New Zealand.

  6. No. I trust my immune system to do what needs to be done. End of conversation.

Well with COVID your immune system only wins 98% of the time. Are you be prepared to be on the losing side of the 2% dead out of the cases?

Ignoring that 12% of people with COVID spend days (many time weeks) in the hospital... and 12% of people in hospitals are put on ventilators for more than a week. Of course, it should be mentioned that over 2/3rds of the people hospitalized with COVID endure "long COVID" after six months.

Your call.... do you trust your immune system that much.... to ignore reasonable public health guidance? Do you disrespect your fellow humans so much that you believe it is perfectly acceptable to run around infecting others in your community?

And the vast health problems were in the high risk group... we could have and should have been protecting the high risk much more directly.

We should have been isolating and protecting them... and letting the low risk group live.
Everyone would have been better off.

Nobody did that and follow that plan.

Instead your team did really stupid shit like shutting down beaches, and outdoor dining and kids playgrounds and schools. Not to mention to the damage done to peoples emotional health and financial well being...
