I eexpect the cruise ships stopping was the biggest hit to the carribbean not counting the hotels. 3000 to 5000 people daily visiting suddenly gone for 3 months.
I am scheduled to go to Aruba in November to repeat my honeymoon (many years later) and to go to Jamaica in March 2021. We will see how it all goes.
We are/were scheduled for Holland, Scandinavia and St. Petersburg in July. Still have the plane tickets we cancelled the cruise portion. Much of my wife's family is in the Netherlands. We were going to meet up and then go on a Cruise. Not sure what will happen now.
You might end out quarantined at a dock in Skagway, Alaska for a year because no one will take you after you leave Aruba- with people walking up and down the streets with signs saying "cruise ships not welcome" as they are in my area, but, hey, treat it all as an adventure.
We were scheduled to go on a cruise with many of our neighbors out of Ireland over to Iceland in July. The cruise line cancelled the cruise and we got our air tickets refunded.
