But i would like to say it another way that it does not takes only an automobile engineer only to ride a car, and not only a master chef to cook tasty dishes and the same for the forex traders as well. There are many traders who are at the profit edge with the knowledge they have gathered and they all are not experts in financial education.

Stevens jumped to the forefront of finance education with the opening of the Financial Systems Center (FSC), a state-of-the-art financial research and teaching facility with an inter-disciplinary focus across financial systems, software engineering and cybersecurity.

Officially opened during a series of launch events on April 17, the FSC will support academic programs at the undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels by applying systems thinking to analyze the behavior of the complex global financial system and confront the most urgent problems in contemporary finance. At its heart is the Hanlon Financial Systems Lab, a financial trading room which integrates the latest technologies -- including 12 Bloomberg computer terminals -- and provides access to real-time and historical data.

The basic message I'm hearing from your posts, emg, is that if you want to go into HFT, then yes, higher education is the key to success.

You have made an excellent point and on behalf of the rest on the posters, I thank you for this astounding discovery. The Nobel prize awaits you!

  10. Are you kidding me? These little kiddies think they will be able to time the stock market after going through that "higher education" program? You must be joking. It is simply a PR stunt to get more tuition money from more suckers (there is an MBA bubble), who later on hope to become fund managers to pull in other sucker with their 401ks, that's it. They are not learning anything special there and certainly nothing that will help them beat the SP500 over time.

You know the drill: raise money during bull market, sucker people in, grab fees, crash, repeat...

That "Student Investment Program" is as much smoke and mirrors as anything else in the trading industry.
