I would never hold like this from the long side if price were below the 50 day moving average.

 

I have always been able to maneuver my way out of negative situations from the long side. I don’t think the index will ever go to zero. It’s not a very productive use of capital. I never put myself in a situation were I would be forced to liquidate due to margin calls.

Unless they doubled the margin requirments.

This happened to a lot of traders on the NYMEX the exchange changed the margin requirements and forced some to liquidate. This also helped bring oil down. Goldman had a hand it that. The SOBs play dirty.

 

I didn't say any of that. You seem reading challenged as well as trading challenged. It just wasn't a smart move. Enough wasted time on this.
