  2. Good points and another reason targeting working Mexicans is putting our resources in the wrong place.
Simple solution, make getting legal MUCH easier for the Mexicans working here now. Put a SIMPLE plan in place for these people to continue working, remember they are here already and are going to stay as long as there is work, so lets make it easier to identify, track and collect taxes from them. When we catch an illegal Mexican and send them back to Mexico give them a quick instruction on how to work here legally, help them fill out the forms so when they decide to come back doing it legally will be a viable option. Don't make getting legal so expensive and cumbersome that it is not an option for the working poor. Get the information out there to the working Mexicans, that will be a smart first step in solving this problem.

  3. WRONG. Mexican illegals deserve no more "help" than illegals from anywhere else.

Plenty of people do the wait and pay the fees and do the paperwork - months, years to legally get their green card or bring over their relatives. All illegals should be thrown out, sorry.

Why is there any debate about people who intentionally violate the law? Should we have extended debate whether extortionists, pedophiles, shoplifters should be arrested and fined/imprisoned?

Build the fence, throw out the 12 million illegals, make them feel under heat, under threat of deportation. This is the SIMPLE plan you mention.

  4. Quite right.

All invaders of America should be thrown out by the native Americans...

  5. LOL! Trying to make a 600 year old reference point? LOL!! I guess the inconvenient fact that much of the land was also bought from the native american's doesn't flatter your 'point' too well does it?

  6. If someone is going to argue on principle when they want to punish the Mexican illegals, the principle if true was true 6 minutes ago, 6 days ago, or 600 years ago doesn't matter...it is the principle that counts.

As is usually the case in history, people look for a convenient scapegoat to blame...rather than accepting personal responsibility, or national responsibility for the problems we now face.

You are one of those people, of course.

  7. Well unfortunately for you and your "principal" much of the land was actually purchased from the Indians. The rest of the Indians didn't have any concept of property rights. They were nomads who didn't have private property and didn't understand the concept when Europeans, who had an actual economic system, wanted to "buy" the land from them.

  8. LOL LOL LOL funny guy. Your sense of deserve doesn't come into play in solving this problem. I don't know if my idea would work but if it would then it would be the correct solution. So in viewing and thinking about your statement I come to the conclusion that you are wrong, sorry.
Comparing a man coming to America to do an honest days labor to feed his family and comparing that man to a pedophile is insane, you might as well used the tried and true comparison to Hitler like everyone does these days in politics. Like it or not the Mexicans are part of our country and a COMMON SENSE solution will be the one that works, one like mine. We are not going to round up and ship out 12 to 20 million Mexicans on buses to the border, it ain't going to happen ever, so no use even talking about it.

I don't know about that, I'm more in QuikrRetirement's camp on this issue. What if the police catches someone who's been a thief for 20 years - will they argue that he should be given a pass because he's been doing it for a long time? An illegal alien steals a job from someone who's here legally, or deprives the legal workers the means of being able to negotiate higher wages. Someone who hires illegals does the same thing, they are both guilty.

Going for the extreme and visualizing a single day when 20 million people are loaded on buses and sent out of the country is naive too, and grossly misleading. It's really a red herring from the left (eg, Pelosi) who view the illegals as future supporters and want millions of them here, the more the better. For the left, illegals also keep the other minorities in this country in check - in a dependent state for longer (more Americans out of work, etc) thereby increasing the Dems' power base, as the victims are persuaded that the root of their misery is the Repubs. Filthy conspiracy imo, despicable game at the expense of the poor, the victimization game that the liberals perpetuate...

How about this plan: the government announces their resolve to stop illegal immigration; they start imposing fines to those who hire illegals, which will act to diminish the illegals' incentive to stay; illegals are arrested (a la Arizona's law) and deported with a misdemeanor mark on their record, which will make it harder for them to re-enter legally; as a result the flow in the country slows down even further; at the same time, the government clarifies legal steps that people across the border can take to be admitted legally in this country legally, etc. Key to all this is the truth that we don't hate Mexicans, we just don't want criminals having a field day at the expense of this country's interests.
