well, I'm new at the opg entry, at least on a large number of stocks, I do it on a few etf's but thought I'd try to come up with a basket of stocks and maybe today is an anomaly but of the 13 stocks, I got filled on 8 of them. I had an envelope of .8% (on each side) and adjusted for the beta too. This seems abnormally high, and they were from varying sectors also. The market did open high and come down quite fast, (maybe why all my positions were shorts)? For example the list I tried included HPQ, BAC, JPM, WAG, MRK, HD, C, AND JNJ. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks

  4. Probably be the difference. I used:

    $SPX 1401.9
    FV 13.3
    ES 1423.2

To get your percentage, you sent using an ES of around 1420.3

ES never traded near there before the market.

    +670 today btw.

    I used
    ESM7 1401.29
    SP500 1401.89
    FV 13.36

and I got filled on 3 all short and cancel all other orders...

@ one point I was down over 100 and came out being profitable 72. Quick +.15, break even, break even... Guess I need to practice on these singshot cause it would be a nice move if I held it...

  7. Where did you get your value of 1401.29 for ESM7? It was trading around 1423.00 a couple of minutes prior to the open. I would guess that all your shorts would have been filled. Which, given today's gap up might have been OK, but could have been a disaster any other day.

  8. Sounds like we had some confusion regarding the Rollover from yesterday, LOL - oh well, it happens.

Anyway, 6 fills +$700 (made up for yesterday's debacle).

    Auto retrace worked perfectly!

    Have a good weekend all!

Are there ANY significant rules that differ between the AMEX and NYSE?

Hybrid rules, market order rules, Limit On Open rules, etc.. ?

What is the story with ISO Orders?

How much difference will they make?

    Will remote traders use them?

"There will be a brand new order type introduced called the "Inter Market Sweep Order" (ISO). ISO Order types guarantee the possibility of price improvement, whether you specify that objective or not.

For people at Assent, ISO orders will not be supported by Hammer. Only the Anvil trading platform will support ISO orders."... Landis82
