2. was a later question but given your ambiguity about horizontal S&R I'm not sure that there is a number two. Cheers
Great thread. Everything about the method seems clear and fixed with the exception of only one discretionary factor. How do you determine which bar will be the starting point?
Hey I just thought of something, you guys that are interested in the .pdf, would you rather have an actual physical book instead?
Yes, although recently I've been doing more longer term trading and not as much intraday trading as before when I was updating this thread every day. I plan to get back into intraday ES trades again as soon as things settle down and I hae more time to devote to it.
I would love to have a physical book instead but only if you throw in a MajicJack and an AbPro for the low price of $29.99 plus Shipping and Handling.
For those of you following along at home, I have been buying a lot of index ETFs during this little down trend that we're having now. This is on a longer-term basis; not day trades. As I've mentioned before, the majority of my wealth is from averaging heavily into weighted ETFs during the 2008-2009 "recession". I took a portion of that capital and used it to fund my futures account that I day trade with. I'm finally getting my personal affairs back on track and am about ready to jump back into day trading and posting screenshots and PnLs again. Thanks for the encouraging PMs
Great to hear that 123! Your thread is the rare one I've been really following on ET. Also can't wait to see your book, physical or not
I've been following this strategy extensively. May be my path to starting ES trading. Anyways, question...I noted in one of your posts that the spread between the 100% point and 0% point was too wide so you didn't want to mess with it. (There is a large spread like that from the open today on the S&P, from 1096 to 1079 about putting max loss at about 3.5k or so) My question is, what is the max spread you will trade usually? And what is the usually minimum spread? I'm more so interested about the minimum spread, I mean there's a lot of instances where you have a small rise or small decline and I'm not sure where to draw the line between what's acceptable to trade retracements on and what's not. I don't want my 33.2 66.8 and 72% points all being a one tick difference! lol
