The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun.... is a good guy with a gun

  1. I keep a pair of nunchuku in my night stand... which by the way is illegal to carry but a handgun is not.. dont get me started on that.

I figure if I hear noise and someone trying to break in I will Bruce Lee their ass... if they have guns they most likely were not out yet and if they were they would shoot me dead... bu for all those other times I will pull a Fists of Fury inpersoniation and scream high pitched while I crack some skulls.

    Exactly.
WE used to have our family fun hunting + shooting .22 long rifles/ hitting cans.
Had to learn the 10 commandments of gun safety , before ever shooting.
Mom had a Remington Scoremaster .22 bolt action rifle ,[ .22 short, longs, .22 long rifle.]
ONE lady asked, ''why pretend an unloaded gun is loaded??'' ANSWER, not really pretending; a gun safety commandment is ''treat very gun with respect due a loaded gun.'' That kills the excuse, '' I never knew it was loaded.''

I remember as a kid, reading my banker dad's NRA American Rifleman magazine ; all the talking snakes, spitting cobras newscasters, so to speak ,in the news media.. That's still common pattern today.:cool::cool::cool::cool:

I grew up in an era in suburban Long Island where our high school had a riflery team (22's) and the students would bring their guns to school each day, place them in designated lockers (near the gym) and go practice at the range after school. And also compete against other local schools. This was town in Long Island - not far from the New York City line.

The NRA also had Eddie Eagle teaching gun safety classes in elementary school -- with all the "do nots" etc with guns.

Those days are long gone in the public educational system.

    Sounds like fun.
I just checked duck duck go; 53 colleges still offer Shotgun Shooting Sports [Shotgun, skeet, clay target teams].
Another good trend, some gun dealers have real nice stores with ultra modern target ranges + includes good training for those who never got it as kids, like we did.:caution::caution:
