As I noted earlier in this thread and the other one -- you obviously do not want the fraud investigated and prosecuted. You have clearly opposed the proposed measures being put in place in our state -- demanded by both Democrats and Republicans -- which would allow proper investigation and prosecution of the alleged voter fraud in the 9th Congressional District race.

James Singletary wasn’t home either and Lisa Britt doesn’t live at the address she said she did on the ballots. Bruno then visited Ginger Eason. She told him why her name appeared so many times as a witness. “I was helping McCrae pick up ballots,” Eason said. Eason said Leslie McCrae Dowless, Jr. paid her $75 to $100 a week to go around and pick up finished absentee ballots. Dowless is the Bladen County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor who appears to be at the center of the state investigation. He was named twice in sworn affidavits as a worker for the Mark Harris campaign. Eason said she never discarded ballots or saw who people were voting for, but after picking them up, she didn’t mail them. She said she gave them to Dowless. The State Elections Board in North Carolina has been controlled by Democrats for over 100 years. Not once, never, have they investigated voter fraud in an election where a Democrat has won. They have only investigated voter fraud when a Republican won the race. In the past decade the state election board has done such a poor job in their "investigations" that every one (100%) of their determinations (results) have been overturned in court. No one in our state trusts the state election board. It is a partisan political entity that needs reform so we can have confidence in our electoral and voting system in North Carolina. Similarly we need an independent board that draws election districts in a proper impartial manner rather than having the state legislature do it -- to put an end to the absurd gerrymandering.
What were you Republicans doing all this time then, suddenly you want independent boards to investigate fraud after crying about voter fraud for years.
Actually in regards to re-districting, until 2010 the Republicans in our state were loudly demanding an independent commission to perform re-districting. They demanded this for decades while the Democrats controlled the state legislature (and gerrymandered the heck out of our state). What happened in 2010? The Republicans won the state legislature -- due to the extreme corruption by Democrats in NC (the Feds locked up over 20 of them). Now that they are in control the Republicans suddenly want only the legislature to do re-districting while the Democrats are screaming for an independent commission to draw election districts. Through political manipulations the State Elections Board has effectively been controlled by Democrats since 1898. Even the "Republican" slots on the board have been simply been filled by independents (who are not registered as Democrats and therefore someone qualified to be "Republican" representatives). Of course, these appointees still heavily donated to Democratic causes. However the most important rule (and law) for anyone appointed to the State Elections Board is that they are not allowed to make public statements supporting or opposing a candidate, party or ballot initiative. This is the line that the recent chairman crossed (continuously), breaking the law and setting himself up for his upcoming indictment.
