where there is hype mixed in with greed and a bunch of suckers is where you will find the next bubble..there needs to be the right mix for it to work though...

55% suckers ( ie. grandma and the guy going thru mid life crisis )
25 % HYPE ( cnbc, buzz around the barber shop )
20% greed ( the type that blinds you )

any subject matter, any hope, dream can be sold to the highest bidder if packaged correctly..

  4. Energy is going to fit the bill. Just wait till you see all these solar panel companies making parabolic moves. Everyone around you is going to be investing in alternative energy companies. It is already happening. Just wait for it to really catch hold.

People just need to remember one thing. Many of these alt energy methods become attractive when oil passes a certain threshold. Hypothetically, say $100/barrel. Then it becomes attractive to buy an alt energy car or something. This results in a crash in the demand for oil and oil is now priced at $50/barrel again. Suddenly the alt energy car you bought is more expensive than a normal petrol car again and sales of alt energy auto manufacturers fall through the floor.

Just an example, but that is how it could play out. I don't think there will be a very smooth transition.

  5. Crocs sandals  Anything that relies on a fashion trend is doomed to be a bubble then pop. (True Religion jeans is a past example although one could possibly argue that the stock has fought its way back.)
