"Let's remember, Newt famously dumped wife #1 for wife #2 while wife #1 was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery. As in literally went to the hospital to present her with divorce papers while she was recovering from surgery for uterine cancer.

He eventually dumped wife #2 for wife #3 shortly after wife #2 was diagnosed with MS back in 1999. And he was having the affair on wife #2 with wife #3 while he was turning the country upside down trying to drive Bill Clinton from office over his affair with Monica Lewinsky."

give it a rest, you two chuckleheads. newt isn't going to run, and even if he did, he'll not get past the primary.

you guys continue to belabor the point of which GOP member will run. i wonder why that is. could it be because you know the yambag you have in the white house is so faulty that pee-wee herman could probably give him a run for his money?

  4. Eye of Newt:

  5. You know he's aware of all that but his strategy seems to be to
toss that thing out into the arena early enough where it can
have time to just erode the objections of it. Its something
I've observed, how our media manages to abandon an issue
too soon. Take the 25 miners killed in W. Virginia. Blankenships culpability in that never reached nearly the defcon
level in the media it warranted before it was on to the next thing.
And, esp. that crowd with their get out of jail forgiveness card
might just let him off the hook given also their options don't match their desperation. George Will doesn't like much of any
potential candidates they have and w/o his blessing or worse
kibitizing Newts all they've got. Just speculating.

  6. So I take it you guys have not bought any of his books?? :p

  7. Huckabee is on a "book" tour...to sell his book so people can evaluate his thinking.

Funny. Why won't Huckabee just declare he is in the running?

Is he counting on book sales to fund his campaign?

As many possible GOP candiates are now, it just shows that there is no clear leader of the GOP. No front runner. The dems didn't have this many wannabees in 2008.

I've never seen so many wannabees in my life, either dem or republican who make noise about being the president, then denying they are running...only to repeat the pattern.

Did this happen in 2004 with Bush? No, who ran against Bush or any incumbent?

So there is a huge vacuum in the republican party for someone who can unify a fractured party...and no one fits the bill.

  8. not really. laughing at conservatives is fun because they are such easy targets. hypocrisy sometimes seems to be inbred into the conservative leaning mind.
"Without a shred of verifiable and falsifiabl_e evidence to the contrary, 50% of the republican_s don't believe that President Obama was born in the US less than 50 years ago.
And yet, those same people are certain that 2000 years ago someone called jesus was born in of a virgin in the Middle East, did miracles, died on the cross and resurrecte_d to heaven without a shred of verifiable and falsifiabl_e evidence to support this."

correct Obama has produced or vouched for a thread of evidence himself.

since Obama has produced no evidence one requires faith in man to believe he was born in HI.

the other requires faith in God.

  10. And Bachman knows where her bread is buttered. If she doesn't toss out enough meat for her followers she knows its off to slicing meat at the SavMor for her, same is true for Palin. She's never experienced making this much money in her life and
probably saw her first million after she quit the governorship. That saying of HL Menckens thats often falsley attributed to PT Barnum applies. I'm going to gauge the effectiveness of a right wing candidate by how much I despise them and Newt and Coulter pretty much top that list. If Newt gets the right to forgive and forget and the left can't command the kind of numbers that got Obama elected by a revolutionary tactic of appealing to donations via the net Gingrich could be formidable. But he would run the show the way he did the speakership, like a third world junta ...which by the way is within expertise of the right. All they have to do is parlay their foreign policy manuevering to domestic.
