The New US President and New Economics

Discussion in 'Economics' started by libertad, Jan 4, 2008.

  1. The most important issues regarding US economics have to do with productivity.
    ...............................................................................................
In order to enhance productivity, these items have to be addressed.

The elimination of legal largesse that will promote small business.

The elimination of the IRS to be replaced with a sole consumption tax.

Energy development that does away with oil needs.

Increased usage of the Internet in education and government.

Increased usage of stocks proceeds to fund businesses, and the further enhancement of a more efficient world wide electronic internet based stock exchange.

    ...................................................................................................

It does not matter if the president is male, female, black, white, red, yellow, what matters is that this happens.
    .....................................................................................................

Otherwise , just expect more of the same.

  2. Galt.

"The only proper purpose of government is to protect rights; a government's only proper functions are: the police; the armed forces; and the courts, to settle disputes by objective law. Government must not initiate force against people.

Productive men cannot function long-range if they are subject to the capricious edicts of rulers.

In a society of trade, there is no conflict of interests among men at different levels in the pyramid of ability. The most talented people, who make new discoveries and invent new products and technologies, contribute the most to others; while those at the bottom, who are engaged in mere physical labor, benefit the most.

Producers require freedom to act on their minds, take risks, trade with others, earn and keep their profits.

In rejecting this demand as unfair, you have created instead a society of brutality and plunder, in which gangs battle for control of the government and the power to extort wealth."

There will be nothing "New" in economics regardless of who wins. Either more "tax and spend" or "borrow and spend". That's the way those currently in control like it.

  5. I just don't see in the media where anyone (citizens) are asking the govt at any level to stop spending. On the local level, it is more zoning, more restrictions, bigger town hall buildings, more landscaping, more employee's, more services, seniors, police, fire, school. Your taxes equal your mortgage payments, your energy costs are not far behind. Our kids have a tough nut to crack at this pace.

  6. Your kids have been sold out.

    The Bush Economics works

  7. LOL... you are joking, right? When the new recession is confirmed in the next six months, Bush will be first President to have two recessions under his watch.

Bush will be remembered for leaving a terrible mess. At the end of the day the guy's a dunce who surrounds himself with people who are plundering Americans as much as possible.

  9. If I made more money this year than last year, have I been plundered?

  10. Your aim is to destroy individual, even entrepreneurial capitalism.
