    Probobly features that other platforms have had for a decade. These "announcements" that are so exciting are just things that are expected to be on modern platforms and have been on other platforms forever.

    Sorry for the delay. As @algofy astutely points out, much of what's kept us busy over the last few months has been porting what our X_TRADER users know and love to the TT platform (things like Price Distribution charts, Hedge Manager, etc.). And while in some cases that's literally just building a carbon copy of some feature, more often than not it gives us a chance to improve; whether that's usability, functionality, or in many cases performance. In all cases, though, we use ongoing feedback to help drive this product roadmap.

    One of the most frequent requests we've received for the TT platform has been proper multi-monitor support. It's also one of the biggest challenges we've had: building an app in HTML5 and javascript that can perform as well as, or better than, X_TRADER (a native fat-client application highly tuned for performance for over 20+ years) is no small feat. Over the last few years, we've uncovered several ways we could give users on the TT platform a multi-monitor experience but, until recently, none of them met the high standards we set for ourselves.

    I'm happy to report that TT Desktop is only a couple weeks away from a full production launch and is already being used for live trading by several firms. Today TT Desktop supports 16-monitor setups (on a single computer) and we are currently testing an 18-monitor setup. We may end up lifting the monitor-count restriction, at which point you'll likely be limited only by your motherboard and/or graphics cards.

    I can't overstate how difficult this was to pull off, and while very few of our X_TRADER users actually use that many monitors, it was important for us to make sure we were delivering a solution that met the needs of even the most demanding clients.

    And when you combine something like TT with our TT Prime offering (dedicated private servers where we host single-process versions of our Autospreader -- and soon Algo -- engines), achieving industry-leading performance metrics (which we publish to all users), you start to get an idea why we're so excited for what lies ahead for TT.

    Thanks for your question and let me know if I can clarify any of the above.

    Hi Rick,

    What's the operating system of the computer in the TT Desktop multi-screen video example ?

    Rick, are you planning to introduce backtesting into ADL anytime soon? I thought I read that in a press release... Thanks.

    @wrbtrader it's Windows 10 I believe.

    @Gambit yes, we will offer our initial backtesting solution before the end of the year in support of MiFID. We'll continue to enhance throughout 2018.

    Will backtesting be an additional package with an add on fee or will backtesting be included in the standard TT price. Thanks for the prompt reply Rick.

    We're still working out the commercial details but suffice it to say we want our users to be able to remain MiFID complaint without extra fees. Usage of the backtesting platform beyond compliance will likely have a nominal fee but we want it to be accessible to all of our users, and so it will be very reasonable. You'll have access to full depth data for every contract we support across ~50 exchanges.
