  2. 100% true.

That's why we need to get off oil. Write your congress person to stop the corn ethanol fraud and eliminate the sugar ethanol tarriff on Brazil.

That and drilling for domestic supply are the first steps.

SouthAmerica: Reply to Ivanovich the Bolshevik

It seems to me that the Russians are not playing dead anymore.

Despite fierce opposition from Moscow, the United States and Poland signed a long-stalled agreement on Wednesday to place an American missile defense base on Polish territory.

Today, according to Fox News the Russians are saying that they would nuke such a base on Polish territory.

It will be interesting to see if the American missile defense system can survive a nuclear attack.

The Russians could test how far the United States is willing to go by sending the tanks to start a new occupation of Poland.

SouthAmerica: That is a very bad idea.

Only if Brazilians were idiots they would allow the ethanol from sugar cane to start being exported to the United States in large quantities.

If Brazilians are that stupid, then they deserve also the consequences that comes attached with such a foolish strategy.

The Brazilian government has to pass an export tax high enough to be able to discourage the export of ethanol from the Brazilian domestic market.

  4. Nobody's gonna revive Soviet Union, because even Putin realizes that would be the stupidest thing to do. He wants Russia to become superpower, but Soviet Union? No... And all these Soviet Union-related ideas will die with Putin and other ex-KGBists, it's a thing of the past.

How many realize that soon there will be a window of 5-15 years where the only way the US can get up to the International space station will be via a Russian craft once the shuttles are decommissioned and we are waiting for their replacement to be built. I guess it seemed like a good idea when they were still our buddies, now not so much...

This might explain some of the rise in oil today (potential Russian missiles in Syria global escalation)

SouthAmerica: The military escalation won't be just between the United States and Russia - in South America Brazil also will need to build its military just in case.

Venezuela is being armed by the Russians and Brazil should be prepared for any event that comes its way in the future.

Brazil should start by allocation at least US$ 20 billion for defense purposes ASAP.

Please don't give me the bullshit that we have a lot of poor people in Brazil....
