The New Psychology of Trading

  1. My associates and I spend time you wouldn't believe trolling for intelligence here. Mostly by dangling stupidity bait. I cannot recall how long it has been since we learnt anything new here. But yesterday we bingoed. Out of foolishness and levity was a great idea born. F9 suggested I position the monkeys recumbent to remove any directional bias. We tried it, and it worked! But our financial backers just don't like to see monkeys lying down on the job, so we rotated their monitors instead. Also, we nearly lost some otherwise bright (not the trading group) monkeys who just couldn't "get" the system Bruit. So we modified it to Anti-Bruit and they are all settled down now. The new chart format is attached.

  2. An excellent suggestion. I will contact Rahula Gautama at our Mumbai desk and get back to you.

  3. Greetings, gentle beings! My associated ones and I here at the Mumbai Chai High Cafe and Trading Salon are appreciating much the suggesting of the Fear-minus9 person. And we are thinking of having a solution immediately to the hand. The sacred monkey whom of -9 speaks is not like unto some lazing bones traders in my deploy here who are suffering from the ADHD unorder. We are knowing not how the sacred monkey might trade, but for the overcoming of the ADHD in human monkeys we use the electrostimulating devices. These are to be founded in any sexy wearhard siteing on the web. As the debillingtations of the ADHD are a resulting of the boredom, we are suggesting that you sychrotize the electrostimulating with the putting out of an Al-Gore-Rhythm (we are all very green here!) we are calling Boredom. I have liberty taken in the attaching of it to our standard incorporate charting. It is foundling in the lowering pane of the charting, examplefying in the two blued bars at 9:45 CT USA. The dissociating of the Boredom signal with the PissingBreak signal we are thinking to be an accidentation. We are honored here to be serving the causing of trading educationing on ET!

  5. Here is an example of how unscrupulous internet trading gurus hoodwink the unsuspecting uncritical credulous needy newby. At 12:14 CT PissBreak said it was time to take a leak and Boredom set in. Followed by four bars of Anti-Bruit and ending in two bars of Overconfidence. The sheerest meerest of coincidences. But if I say it with a straight enough face (as much as one CAN have a straight face in a post), many will believe it. Do you? The monkeys loved it. But of course I have electrodes up their asses to MAKE them like it.

  6. To close out the week, let me state our firm's trading strategy simply: we strive at all times to know when nothing is not happening, and when something is about to not happen.

  8. My thread is doomed! Immoderation intrudes! Before I am consigned to Gehenna, let me thank minus9 for his inspiration of the two new systems we developed the past two days: Boredom and Anti-Bruit. We could not have done it without a straight man. But we should have discovered these systems earlier, as both boredom and bruit abound on ET.

  9. Here's a technique desinged to give you maximum exposure to "the street" via a two-for-one monkey carry trade.

  10. Subminimal Man, as the chief financial backer of Mudgins & Associates, I must say that I am amused that you went to the trouble to create an alias just to rag on poor old Duref. It probably took you longer to register than it did to create that post.

And what was not to like in the thread? Did you not get Boredom? We had Doaks create it after observing several times that the market moved as soon as the monkeys dozed off. Simple, but effective. And PissBreak? Try to reverse engineer that one, sucka! A powerful undicator, that. And Overconfidence? You ever read Mamis? Betcha that's where YOU feel most comfortable commiting! Anti-Bruit? Another one I can show, because you can't reverse engineer it.

Now Monkey-Averaged Conjunction/Dispersion WAS a joke. But my tuning of it for NQ wasn't. And I think the coloring is unformative.
