To a degree, yes they can. But this thread is about pointing out their sickening hypocrisy and their moral cowardice. The irony is that by doing so, they forfeited any credibility they might have had on other issues. It's a win/win for sports fans tired of overpaid morons lecturing us in broken English about how racist we are. So please, Lebron, Steve Kerr, Greg Popovich, Steph Curry, STFU.
Individual sports stars have no control over what the official NBA policy is. So I know this is hard for you to understand but Lebron and Curry did not bend over and ask to get a reach around from China.... THE FUCKING NBA DID..... has nothing to do with the players. Hard to see the difference but there is. Harden may have sucked up by not a peep from most of the players, it all came from owners and the league who are protecting their millions. Lebron could give two fucks about China pulling out support of the league, he gets paid by the Lakers and Nike.
Criticize away but some deep hurt feelings over here. Did not see these feelings when Trump kissed up to China as well but I guess double standards only go one way...
What the fuck is a governor of the NBA? The OWNER of the Rockets apologized to China (Tilman Fertita (sp?))
But this goes back to the basic point. You work for a major entity and you want to post stuff on your personal pages that reflects back on the organization, the organization has a right to step in and say something. If you go to bed with China you have to accept the fact that to get their $$s you have to shut up. Don't want the restrictions? Don't take the money.
