All right, you NFL experts, answer these burning questions for a Fantasy Football rookie (that would be me) : So I have Chad Johnson, Andre Johnson, and Javon Walker as my receivers. A. Johnson and Walker are injured. A Johnson is a stud when he's healthy, and Walker had a couple of decent games before he got hurt. A. Johnson will be out at least two more games, and Javon Walker probably another game or so. But when they do come back, they can't be expected to perform to their former lofty standards right away. So I'm thinking about dropping the pair of them and picking up Dwayne Bowe and Santonio Holmes. What sayeth thee, O Fantasty Football gods?
New England and Dallas look heads and tails above everyone else......Super Bowl looks like NE vs DALLAS. I would love to see Browns finally do something!
A savage attack AAA. If I had kids I'd certainly take them to see the # 1 offense, # 1 defense, reborn and rehabilitated Moss with off the charts stats that nobody can cover, and passing efficiency nobody has seen since Unitas. Will they go 16-0, some are asking here. I don't think so. They have Indy and Dallas away and Steelers are lurking. Still that frightful firepower and no obvious weakness at any position is giving other coaches canniptions. Special message for Indy people: forget W/L - watch the spread between NE and IN points for and points against. Yer losing ground boys and it will grow and grow until the showdown in which Manning will bedwet for 3 interceptions I predict. Finally, my call is for a bad winter here so if your team goes to Foxboro later this year - sayonara.
sammy morris couldnt run to save his life when playing with the phins...yet yesterday he put up sweet numbers with the patriots....goes to show something be wrong down yonder....could it be our own version of the madden curse?? where we on the cover of the 2008 madden video game??
if the indy defense comes to play this will be one hell of a showdown...only one other team can try to go toe to toe with NE in td's and that's indy ( and perhaps dallas )...so it will all boil down to indy's defense which if they come to play will put a somewhat damper on the brady/moss 2 for 1 combo...
I agree. And watch for both offense sto go No Huddle play after play. NE & Indy pretty much the only teams in NFL that can do that Game of the year.
I thought Cincy hung in there pretty well last night, considering the injuries. Still, the Pats covered pretty easily, leaving me at 5-1 for last week's rec's. Sorry, I'm not into fantasy football, so I have no advice there. A "savage attack" on the Pats? Moi? Well, it is all intended in good fun. I leave the harsh stuff for the politics forum. I didn't even get into the details of Belichek and that married woman in New Jersey. Couldn't he just get Brady to hook him up with some supermodels? The Pats certainly look very capable of running the table. How well has Moss fit in? I give them credit for stealing him from Oakland. Donovan McNabb no doubt would like to have Donte Stallworth back. If there was a team that should have been prepared tot take a chance on Moss, you would have thought it would have been the Eagles, considering how thin their wideout corps is. Guess they are still traumatized from that whole TO affair.
