Yeah that's the best matchup we have left. I would've liked to see T.O. vs. Moss, but as a team I don't think Dallas and NE match up well. IMO, TO has more talent than Moss, but Romo can't get TO the ball as well as Brady gets Moss the ball. In any case, I don't like Dallas, so I would much rather see GB and NE in the bowl. If NY pulls off a miracle win, I don't think I'll even watch the superbowl.
Cache, I did want to see Peyton make Brady tear up agin but that ain't happening so NE vs GB is best matchup. New school vs Old School .. The PACK IS BACK !! ps how much of NE's success due trading off their inside info? Teams, their orgs and plays don't change all that much from year to rear
http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/story?id=4132194&page=1 Did "Fake" Jessica Simpson Derail Dallas Cowboys? .................................... Interesting and good idea by the Post.
In the 80's we were so close there saint... and there's always 1946 thank you very much. I'm a fan through and through. No bandwagon jumping here.
I can already see the Headlines....Favre retires after winning the super bowl and ending NE's perfect season.....almost a story book ending to a great career (should it unfold that way)
NE is probably the most balanced team to come along in a long time, if not ever. I can't find a weakness. How many yards did Mulroney rush for last week? Against a stout Jags D. After all the pundits were saying they don't have a running game. Offense can play shortball, longball, and rush... all the while protecting the passer. What gets me is they can tailor fit the game plan to whatever suits them. And execute it on virtually every down! WTF, that's not right. The defense is #2 in sacks only behind the Giants. Incredible. And incredibly disciplined. You rarely see them out of position, missing assignments or gaps. Special teams is special because, they don't fuck up. No stinky shanked punts, no block-in-the-back-on-every-2 0f 3-returns malarky, no look-at-me-I-made-a-tackle-I'm-so-good unsportsman like shenannigans to speak of. This is a solid, solid TEAM that is perfectly coached. Almost a perfect storm. HOW TO BEAT THEM: The same way Roberto Duran beat Sugar Ray... Beat the snot out of 'em. Play harder, play faster, play shittier, and definitely play dirtier. Running back at the bottom of the pile? Jam a finger into his eye or ear hole. Lineman on the ground (and they always are)? Lay on him a bit. That really pisses them off when you don't unload from the pile in a timely manner. Tip pass away? or lay out the receiver?....hmm. Let Brady know that Leonardo's dick was in Gisele's mouth before Brady kissed her. dirty, dirty, dirty!!! Not Denver offensive line dirty; just pigpen dirty should suffice.
Tough to do Bronks with best QB, best receiver corp, and best offensive line. Just no sacks of Brady to speak of. Here's my man's analysis on the line - "Dante Scarnecchia. 38 years as a coach -- 24th season as the offensive line coach for the Patriots. You'll never hear his name because he shuns the spotlight. But NFL insiders consider him the very best at his business. Belichick worships him. Dante once played offensive guard and center at California Western University. He holds a master's degree in physical education from U.S. International. He constantly cusses and frets 24-7 about protecting Brady. That's all he cares about in the world. Nothing else.... During the season he never leaves the Patriots' Foxboro training facility -- he works 24-7, mostly breaking down film and then working the O-line (bearded white-boy lumberjacks) to the point of collapse."
