  2. Why not, the team threw it in last week when they moved Chambers. Are they catching it from the media and fans down there? Cameron could be a one year coach at this rate. Or do they grit their teeth and give him time? How would Marty Schottenheimer look on the Miami sideline?

Are they really so terrible or have they just had bad luck schedule-wise? I mean, they have lost to some decent teams. They have to be disappointed with the performance of the defense all season. No one really expected the offense to be dynamic.

  3. In retrospect, the sucker game of the week was the steelers/Broncos. After writing my report, I started thinking about that game and was on the verge of changing my mind and saying take the Steelers. As it turned out, my initial feeling was spot on. The Steelers were flat, kind of like when they lost to Arizona, and the Broncos buckled their chin straps and were determined not to be embarrassed like they were by SD. Couple more uninspired road losses like these two and the Steelers can forget home field for the playoffs. How long before their fans start bemoaning the fact that they didn't hire Russ Grimm as coach?

ronnie brown torn ACL, green out, chambers traded, the defense is a no show....at this point ..yes i would consider them a terrible team...and next week against the giants i see us 0pher-8...season ticket holders are just tail-gaiting at this point....trying to justify their expenditure...:D

  5. Sorry Cubano! As a loyal Browns fan, I can feel your pain as we've been in the cellar for years. At times it just feels like a big domino effect on the team. And the fans...

  7. Ownership is the most underrated position in the NFL. A great owner can make a big difference and vice versa.

  8. Time to have a look at last week's games.

My first pick was give the points with Washington an 8 1/2 fave against Arizona. It went pretty much according to plan. The 'Skins defense dominated the Arizona offense for most of the game, but the Skins do-nothing offense gave the Cards enough chances that they were able to score a couple of times late and had a 56 yard field goal to win the game. Skins 21-19.

I thought the Ravens would dominate the Bills defensively and do enough with the ball to win easily. Didn't happen. The Bills took advantage of Baltimore's injury situation and won 15-14. I was very unimpressed that teh Bills let the Cowboys get away with a win, but when I looked at their other games, I realized I had underestimated them. They could easily and maybe should be 4-2 instead of 2-4. Baltimore is 4-3 and fighting against falling out of playoff contention after entering the season thinking the Super Bowl was not outof reach.

I liked NE over Miami, and said give the 16 1/2. NE covered easily.

I took the points and TB visiting Detroit, but TB fumbled the ball away twice and Detroit turned them both into TDs to win and cover 23-16. TB dominated the stat sheet but turnovers kill you.

I took a chance on KC getting a couple of points visiting Oakland, and they did just enough to win the game 12-10. The key was they held the Raiders' potent run game to 55 yards.

    So 3-2 this week.

One game I regret passing on was the Bears/Eagles. I thought the Eagles by 5 1/2 was a joke, but I guess the oddsmakers have lost all respect for the Bears. After gutting out a tough19-16 win and passing for over 300 yards with no turnovers, maybe the Bears will be taken seriously from now on.

Let me give "BIG UPS" to the triple AAA on his outlook for the skins/cards game this last weekend. You call it correctly as the skins were not able to pull away. Caught the end of that game as Cards almost won the game on that long last second field goal. Looking forward to next weeks outlook from the triple AAA.
