Still no love for Cleveland AAA? Currently looks like we are -16 and I don't know about that spread... almost tempting depending on what version of the Browns show up. If you get the team that played Pittsburgh, take the Pats; if we get the team that beat Baltimore, I think we can at least cover that spread. Not saying we win, but cover the -16. Thoughts? Could the Pats be looking past the Browns and be in for a good game or does Billy have his team focused on beating the sh*t out of us?
My newspaper had the line as 16 1/2. Maybe you're getting the special Cleveland Browns fan line. Actually, this can be a problem in betting. Your local bookie won't give you the real line on a game attracting a lot of local interest. Or, you have to deal with the problem of the linesmakers knowing that certain teams will attract a lot of action, so they shave the line a bit against them. Look at Pittsburg this week. I don't think they should be giving 5 1/2 against a very credible Seattle squad. I'm pretty sure the Steelers attract a lot more money than Seattle however, so the line is set accordingly. Same deal with the Cowboys at Buffalo.
I've never placed any bets based on the lines, so that -16 I found was the first google page that came up. I always like to see how the Browns are stacked against the competition. I read through your earlier post quickly and missed the paragraph on the Pats vs Browns, my bad.
He will if Norv calls his number. I agree with you that this is a very attractive line, but the Chargers have fallen and can't seem to get up. Going against Denver at home is usually not a great idea either. Just too many moving parts here for me.
Well speaking of the Browns, wtf do us NE people do with this O/U of 48 this weekend? 41-7 seems reasonable. But its still unbettable.
I pulled the trigger and jettisoned Javon Walker and Andre Johnson for Santonio Holmes and Patrick Crayton. Genius, I tell ya! Genius! Gulp...
I would take the under and I think the Browns keep this closer than Vegas is giving us credit for. I think we come out hungry and the Pats are moving on to the next game.
Bingo...this is exactly why the NFL is so lame and boring. CFB is beatable and fun to watch. The NFL not so much. The Nevada books regularly take a beating on most CFB weekends. Yet they almost always win on NFL Sundays and especially Mondays. The NFL is not only boring but it's a suckers bet.
