You have this mental block about using stops. :D Stops mitigate losses going long or short.

    Someday maybe.

    Nah.

Diversification isn't too difficult with >100 positions and now they have an ETF for just about ANYTHING.
It's quite often that I have both buy & sell orders fill on the same day. Seems there's always a sector moving counter to the overall market. Nat gas has been getting hit lately so adding a few names there. Gold looks to drop a bit more so will add to miners/metals.

***I wouldn't do this with futures unless with MES/MNQ like @Overnight does. That's a more capital efficient way of "investing" in the stock market compared to SPY/QQQ.

What exchange supports advertising stop orders on the order book?

I don't have the list, but many support native stop-order.
But supporting and advertising is not the same thing.
Usually, stop-orders are not visible to market participants until they got triggered.

No I mean when the stop price is triggered, the stop-loss order would become market orders to be executed immediately cuz that's what stop-loss orders are essentially, market orders once the stop price is triggered.

So for the exchanges that do not support stop-loss orders, when the broker holds them internally on their server waiting for the stop-loss price to be triggered (hopefully never), if some MM's paid for order flow to the broker, do they see all the orders marked stop-loss? And what about hidden orders and MIT/LIT orders? Do MM's who paid for order flow see those as well?

    Thanks

No, MsDawn, stop limits are broker default. From which school of cosmetology did you matriculate?

  8. Hey TheDawn, message me if this fat thing keeps bothering you. I'll handle his manet self like I did in the other thread, send his fat self packing, claiming I blocked him as a cover. What a fake fat fraud LOL.

    For stocks I don't know.

For options, that would be against the rules for MM to have a sneak peek of orders before they got released on the exchange order books. PFOF or no PFOF, it doesn't matter.

But I'm sure you'll find guys here that will say otherwise and that markets are rigged...
