  4. Revolutionary Road, very dark, no happy ending here. Michael Shannon plays a great supporting role.

For some reason this movie just didn't do it for me. No offense.:)

Reviewers thought Red put Salt and Knight and Day to shame but I thought Salt was better.

Just saw "Irreversible" w/Monica Bellucci (2002)

    ...Hmmm, where to begin...

    - This film had two scenes of the most realistic portrayals of violence I had ever witnessed on film.
    - The camera work, especially in the beginning, can be nauseating. Just fight through it. There's a reason.
    - "Memento" esque
    - You will be talking about this movie the next day... good OR bad.
    - Monica Bellucci fully nude is a whole separate issue. I'm sensitive to the movie's theme, but not that sensitive not to comment on Ms. Bellucci's glorious NATURAL tata's!
    - Europeans are weird.

Edit: Male genitalia alert. Don't say I didn't warn ya. After all, the first sequence does take place in a fag bar called THE RECTUM.

    Now playing on Netflix.

  10. The North Face ... Nazi mt climbers, pretty intense. Good story based on facts, everyone dies. Free stream on NetFlix

In 1936, young German climbers Toni Kurz (Benno Fürmann) and Andreas Hinterstoisser (Florian Lukas) face off against a rival Austrian duo in an attempt to be the first team to scale the infamous north face of the Eiger in the Swiss Alps. As the men make the treacherous climb, journalist Luise (Johanna Wokalek) -- Toni's childhood love -- covers the biggest story of her career. Philipp Stölzl helms this drama based on a true story.
