There's a lot more to sci fi than special effects. And the special effects in forbidden planet , from the 50's !!!!!! still hold up. Get serious. I mean .if you want to make a fool of your self, and say there was no good sci fi before 1970 , I won't stop you. Here, I'll even crown you.
i stand by my previous statement. some people like "the planet of the apes" and some don't. also before ~ late 60s the Hollywood was not up the speed so there are very few good movies from that time, not just sci-fi. eventually, the Hollywood lost its edge so there are very few good movies produced nowadays. recently i watched "Moon" (2009), a sci-fi movie with Sam Rockwell. no surprise there: it is a piece of garbage. don't waste your time on it.
Well, clearly we're dealing with a member of mensa here. Not enough triple headed dragons in 'Moon' for ya? here, I'm sure you'll like this as for the Hollywood, I don't think there's a the in front of it. And thanks guys for making me do all the heavy lifting here.
could somebody comment on Inland Empire from this list? Netflix gives it 1.5 stars for whatever reason
Pulp Fiction had some very memorable scenes. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PlmccmU2CLI?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PlmccmU2CLI?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
