  1. Gee, i have to disagree-having read most of the "saint" books, Kilmer was laughable in the "master of disguise" format.

Maybe the the makeup and wardrobe just didn't pass muster, but Val Kilmer in a fake mo, wig, looking precisely like Val Kilmer in fake wig and mo, just wasn't so great.
It's also true, the books weren't THAT great either, I just expected better and got less from the film.

Honestly, sly stallone, Kurt Russell, bruce willis, john cusack, john lithgow, er, virtually anyone, perhaps even Betty White could have done it better. Guess I'm not a Kilmer fan, IMHO, he cant act his way out of a paper bag. Maybe it was his hamtacular effort at batman that did it, but yeah, not a Kilmer fan.

  2. Green Zone was interesting, reminded me of Redford's Three Days at the Condor but with Greengrass's shaky camera and a lot of action.

  4. Trailers are great, esp. at the theater. Sometimes there'll be
3 or 4 trailers after which I've gotta see every film. What the hell is with having commercials at the movies now ...thats just wrong.

Saw Inception the other night. I like long films and it held my interest in spite of its multi leveled plot. I didn't like Eli as much as you did but pretty much everything Denzel Washington does is worth paying to see. My idea of a great film is The Good Shepard.
with Damon and Jolie ...pure zen.
