Havent seen it yet, but the simple fact its not called that here in oz............i never got this, why change the name of a movie....particularly , when the respective countries, speak the same language......... Its a lame maneouver, a huge cop out to the intelligence of consumers worldwide, and likely an insult to american audiences themselves. "Mad max" was rebadged "Road Warrior" over their, i guess i never got over it, the excuse at the time was some shit about offending crazy people, just lame shit really...... "Road Warrior"? Come on, he's "mad max", period. I love action movies, id like to see this movie, for no other reason than to see how this character could possibly have been rehashed, for the current generation.....not that the title doesnt give me an idea. Sidenote, it sounds as though the retard's in charge of the second "Bourne" movie, got hold of the camera for the third, a great shame. Again, havent seen it yet, BUT, if they have in fact used the same shithouse handheld -jerky-camera -crap they did in the second movie, they should be rounded up and shot, basically. Theres no excuse for that rubbish, given how great the bourne identity was, WITHOUT some freaky blair witch project f#ng cinematography.
I love this stuff, because , im still waiting to see it-sounds great, actually. Would cut through most of the gumpgh that passes for a plot nowadays......... Assuming your aware of the historical background, the fact someone has tried to film this is remarkable, i fail to see how it could be lost on people that human history is written on just such-disatisfying events.
I thought "300" was a hoot. Not much plot, no, but for what was basically one long battle scene it was well done and pretty exciting in places. The cinematography was fantastic, especially on my new 56" widescreen tv, baby! H
THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Gambler James Caan, Paul Sorvino. "Give me the three." Anyone seen it? Recall that line? It's old, and I don't see it on rental shelves.
"Disturbia" Not bad though a little too predictable. Got off to a very slow start. I'd give 2 1/2 out of 5 stars.
i hate the new slo-mo cinematrography that has infected what seems like all the films today. eg. "300", "the matrix". "hated it'! too obviously contrived feel for me like i really want to see what a computer generated bullet (or spear} looks like in the air}oh ya, i'll pay to see that!
"Breach" Slow start, the pace of which never really picked up much. If it wasn't a true story I might not have bothered to even finish watching it.
