Steve i would be interested in discussing your welcome message, i would like to know, what about being ridiculed concerns you and does this have a positive of negative effect on your trading:)

  3. Sometimes I stroke my keys as the orders go in and say " I'm a frisky octopus dear " This helps.

  5. Martin, the most incredible thing happened. I used your daily affirmation at the bar at Union Square Cafe tonight and got a big response. I was sitting next to this guy with a mustache. He was from out of town and he said what do you do? So I said- I am a confident and ruthless trader and he was all over me! Now I'm home and I'm afraid he got the wrong idea or something... he's outside in the street, under my window- I'm freaking out. Is there anything I can say to make this guy go away?

Sure it's easy you say "i'm a confident ruthless straight guy" what sort of signals are you giving off, ouch! You may need to be a bit more selective about where you socialise, stay clear of bars full of policemen and construction workers. Having said that dont knock it till you try it, big boy!:D

Sorry but affirmations and subconscious approval is not an NLP tool, it's a common mainstream psychology tool.

I don't know what your game is but I would WARN ET'ers to beware of this guy because something smells fishy.

I've studied NLP for over 6 years and this guy is no Master Prac but then again any fool with $1500 and a few weeks to spare can get a Master Practitioner cert these days.

That would be easy because after 6 years of studying with Richard Bandler, I do not believe NLP is a useful tool for much more then phobia's and a few other minor psycological issues.

In my opinion, NLP is nothing more then labeling subjective experience.

It's pundents make great claims but I have yet to see any of thier lives being dramatically effected by it's use and I know Hundreds of them personally.

I'm a big believer in daily journals and honest record keeping for a trader to have success, I also like to do some simple visualization drills before the open each day.
