Tucker Carlson is a mushroom cloud. When one goes up, it's hard not to look. Fortunately, I manage to shield my eyes, except for the occasional peak to see how much damage it (he) is doing.
So 58% are watching cnn/msnbc v. 42% for Fox News. As I said cnn and msnbc share the audience while fox competes wity no one. Also plenty of GOP watch cnn and dems watch Fox...curiosity in what the other side is saying.
NYT Reporter Says Tucker Carlson Trashes Trump in Private: He ‘Thinks Very Little’ of His Audience https://www.mediaite.com/tv/nyt-rep...rivate-he-thinks-very-little-of-his-audience/ Jeremy Peters of the New York Times claimed Monday night to have the inside track on how Fox News host Tucker Carlson truly feels about former President Donald Trump. He shared some of those insights from his reporting with Newsmax TV host Eric Bolling. Peters’ book Insurgency: How Republicans Lost Their Party and Got Everything They Ever Wanted was released in February. According to the reporter and author, Carlson personally holds Trump in contempt, but is more than happy to align himself with him publicly to siphon support and viewers. On The Balance Monday, Bolling noted Carlson was at Trump’s Bedminster, New Jersey golf club over the weekend, where the pair was photographed together. “I saw a lot of pictures floating around the internet of Trump and Tucker Carlson kind of yucking it up a little bit in the Trump box,” Bolling said. Bolling asked Peters why he feels Carlson would be seen with Trump, despite Peters’ assessment that cable’s top-rated host is not a fan. Peters was blunt in his response: I think you know as well as I do that Tucker, in private, what he says about Trump is very different than what he says about Trump in public, and it benefits him to be seen having photos taken with Trump at the golf course and everything. I would not be surprised at all to see Tucker, I quoted him in my book, he said, “I am voting for Kanye West.” This is in 2020 so… he didn’t vote for Trump as far as we know. I mean, I don’t know, I wasn’t there with him in the in the ballot box, but we know that Tucker Carlson is one of these people who benefits from having the Trump audience on his side, but thinks very little of the people who make up that audience. Bolling stated he believes Carlson might have presidential ambitions, and if he ran, he would need Trump’s voters to get him there. He turned the segment over to Peters for a final thought. “I think there are a lot of people, Eric, who snicker behind Trump’s back, who say that they support him publicly and they like his ideas, and they like him,” Peters said. “But privately, it’s a different story, and that to me is the ultimate fallacy of the conservative media.” Watch above, via Newsmax TV.
An interesting take by Crenshaw about Biden's Afghanistan withdrawal. Rep. Dan Crenshaw Fumes At Tucker Carlson For Having the ‘Nerve to Even Criticize’ Biden Over Afghanistan Withdrawal https://www.mediaite.com/tv/rep-dan...-criticize-biden-over-afghanistan-withdrawal/ Rep. Dan Crenshaw is seemingly breaking step with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson over his coverage of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, one year ago. On the latest episode of his podcast Hold These Truths, Crenshaw spoke with Dan Blumenthal, a Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute about the the escalating tensions surrounding Taiwan. Crenshaw compared the reactions to Taiwan to the calls for fast withdrawal from Afghanistan. The isolationists well — would indignantly suggest that, “Oh, so you wanna start a war just to prevent a future war that you’re not even sure is gonna happen.” And my answer to them is always, “Well, the, the costs are coming either way. History tells us that over and over and over again.” The costs get greater with further inaction. Every single time you can choose not to believe that. You can choose not to study your history and believe that simple fact, you can choose to believe that if the Chinese just get this one more island, that they’ll be nice after that. If Putin just gets Ukraine, then he’ll be nice after that. He has no interest in any of these other, you know, Russian ethnicities located in say, Latvia, if he has no interest whatsoever, he’ll just be nice. Crenshaw reiterated that he doesn’t imbibe in that same philosophy, instead saying that we never wanted to go back to a World War II mindset. We never wanted to go back to the situation where we had to expend a massive amount of resources and taking island after island, after island again, and letting it happen. And there’s an interest in preventing it at the beginning when the costs are lower. I also, I just always refute this argument that we’re starting a war, again, the isolationists were wrong about Russia. They were wrong about Afghanistan. They said that if we just left, then there would be peace. Well, that’s not what happened. We lost 13 Marines. Crenshaw then pointed the finger at one such “isolationist,” Tucker Carlson. Nothing made me angrier than watching Tucker Carlson have the nerve to even criticize Joe Biden because Joe Biden did exactly what Tucker Carlson wanted him to do exactly to the T. Pull out everybody right now, you know, no ifs, ands, or buts, no middle ground whatsoever. Not even Trump was, I think, thinking of doing that, you know, we would’ve at least left people in Bagram. They’ve been wrong on every front and it’s getting dangerous. You start to lose people in this kind of situation and you, you can’t have this naive outlook of the world. 'You’ve gone too far': Newsmax host appeals to Tucker Carlson to stop supporting Russian propaganda https://www.alternet.org/2022/04/newsmax-eric-bolling-tucker-carlson/ Newsmax host Eric Boiling is appealing to Fox News' Tucker Carlson to refrain from circulating Russian propaganda during his news segments. During Boiling's Tuesday broadcast, he insisted that Carlson has gone too far with his support of Russian President Vladamir Putin and the invasion of Ukraine, per HuffPost. “My compadre continues to push falsehoods that Putin and his propagandists are exploiting to show that, yes, some Americans do indeed side with Russia in this war,” Bolling said. “Is that the side of history ... you want to be on?” he said as he addressed the Fox News primetime host. “There are far too many wars right here in our own country.” While he did agree with the conservative host's sentiment that “most Americans don’t want to get further involved in Ukraine,” he also noted that it is possible to argue that point without publicly siding with Putin. “But isn’t it possible to make that point without seeming to be on Putin’s side?” he asked. Boiling's latest appeal to his former Fox News colleague comes after weeks of Carlson's pandering of Putin and his repeated attempts to circulate Russian propaganda. On April 6, Boiling also verbalized his concerns about Carlson's actions. During that segment, he initially addressed the issue. “I want to be very clear for our audience,” Bolling cautioned. “I’m anti-war and I believe we should always secure America’s interests first and foremost, and that of the lives of our own citizens, of American citizens, should matter more than any other. Sorry, but that’s true.” Boiling also noted that the unrest in Ukraine should be the breaking point as it deserves to be condemned, worldwide. “Blatant and horrifying war crimes committed by Russians against Ukrainian civilians have made it very clear that, yes, this war is in fact more black and white now than ever,” he said. ”If we say anything otherwise then we are on the wrong side of history.”
A true patriot and a very successful man Tucker Carlson and another true patriot and a very successful man Eric Boiling have a difference in views. Of course, modern liberals wonder. What is going on? How is possible to have a difference in views? We are thinking all the same. Wow! Let's write an article about it.
