I went for the full 10 days retreat. First time, I only did 6 days as some of my then "fans" came in to manifest their existence and this created troubles. Second time, we knew they'd show up, and with the staff we manage to ensure that I could finish the full 10 days. The course was very hard. It was very hard to look deep into one past, oneself, one's mental conditionning - for me specifically my naivety, though I regret now to have lost my naivety. In what ways these retreat did help my trading : I saw my mistakes in all their clarity. From then it was about working on each mistake. This one not being an easy thing. The course brought so much self-honesty, that if trading is a mirror to one's psychology, the retreat basically cleaned up the miror as I had a tendency to hide w-h-y I was making such or such trading mistake. For a trader who has given its due - 10 000hrs screen time - and still is not going forward, these 10 days retreats are a must to really find out what one is doing so as to ensure failure.
LOL...Have you ever read the traders' bible "Trading in the Zone"? I stopped after 3 chapters I think. I am amazed at the number of great traders who actually like this book..." No amount of market study will do the job, the problem is in your mind"...
Your nickname is POOR boy : right? I am sure you have not heard of LOA, right? Paying a LOT of money for coaching is money well spent.
Thanks for the info. I live near (1 hour + drive) a Dhamma Center. I know/learnt different kind of meditation (though most are same in core/context). Cannot imagine living for 3/10 days without cell phone/outside world contacts. What are you referring as 'fans' in the above reply?
