A couple of people want to make a bet. Befoe you do so I suggest you first get some legal advice as to whether the bet can be enforced. It may be that if one wins one may not be able to collect. Better to go to a betting shop and have them accept both bets at the same time. So the betting shp in effect becomes the stakeholder and the guarantee to get paid. If there are no betting shops in the US (like they have in the U.K.) one may be able to 'get set' with one of the U.K. bettings shops on line ? Jack
If a professional trader refused to honor a bet; it would be a sad day indeed for a group that puts millions on the line in a mouse click ...
It's even more of a long shot that we can appreciate. These guys spend their days planning and their nights dreaming about this sort of stuff, both the leaders to defend it and the rest to start it. I'd give the Kurds a better chance at overthrowing SH than this style of coup.
I agree. Millions of dollars change hands on Wall Street because traders honour their word. But in the end, talking about this is beating a dead horse. Vinny's pathetic behaviour is best ignored. If we could talk about the market instead, that would be great. I started this thread hoping that some traders out there might have some insight into what if anything the recent market weakness may mean for the coming few months. I know this issue is drenched in politics and it is very difficult to resist making politically charged comments...but I was really hoping that it would stay on topic.
For those that missed the exchange between ML and Vinny this movie should bring you up to speed: http://mm.dfilm.com/mm2s/mm_route.php?id=739386
