SYS2,3/5; Well i warned you it [PSAR; aka parabolic time Price] is NOT that good- LOL. But i like it because it reminds me trends can stop + reverse[ parabolic stop + reverse].LOL

Good point;Handle 1,2,5 =more than one way to use an indicator. If price goes past PSAR, like when silver hit$50 area, then smashed DOWN thru PSAR =late sell signal but good sell signal, if i remember right + usually do. A moving average can do the same thing, maybe better, but PSAR or Parabolic time Price is a needed reminder to me- trend s can reverse-NOT that i use in in a mindless mechanical way-i dont. Parabolic Time Price tested on barchart.com usually doesnt do well, also....

SysW;That most likely means you used it with discretion.LOL Or like my moving averages worked better in bull market of 1999 also. Good points, the WSJ use s a 65 day moving average, that may work well- but like IBD , prefer to use 50dma, 200 dma. I dont know if the WSJ 65 day moving average is any good or simply helps sell newspapers ??>LOL

As of initial topic - I'm not sure it's the case. Actually, the longer it trends, the harder it ranges.

I think I know what a "range" is, but how does it "range" or "trend" hard?
