Thanks for the comment. I think it is him. Most do not realise what choices "successful" people have had to make. Most only see the good things, but reading their biographies, how many would go through the "dues".
You are indeed making some very valid observations. From what I am reading, the "fear of success" is really about someone who has demonstrated they can reach whetever target/goal set. But for some reasons ( psychology), they kind of flunk or do something to flunk. For instance, trading profitably on a demo for 2 years in a row and flunking when live. Or trading profitably live and last trade wiping a whole account, etc... these are some examples. For those who might be in this situation, this can be luckily sorted. So no need to despair.

find some old people in your area, they always need help as they hang on to the last days before the nursing home,listen to them, your success will seem trivial,it's just money,don't think about the money,now you are just a semi pro video game player,donate some of it here and there, make it make a difference,might make you feel good,and help you forget about the trivia , no offense but if ones goal is talking about self,it's pretty shallow,you may need to round yourself out a bit ,meeting others and knowing there ups and downs helps you grow,this is a very boring business for all but about 1 hour each day and sometimes its one hour each week,people can be the most interesting thing in life
