your misdirection is professional. we are not talking about who gets elected in districts where the Klan exists we are talking about whether the Klan is democrats or not.

However you seemed to miss the first and last wikipedia sentences on the intro to this subject.

Southern Democrats are members of the U.S. Democratic Party who reside in the American South. In the 19th century, they were the definitive pro-slavery wing of the party, opposed to both the anti-slavery Republicans (GOP) and the more liberal Northern Democrats.

So who do these fiscally conservative low tax family values southern democrats represent?

You cant have it both ways... if you say that group is not racist in the south its fricken ridiculous to say that as democrats their constituents are not racist but that same voter base is, in the rest of the country.
If you say they are racist... then you lose this argument.

Once again Free Thinker can watch leftist cognitive dissonance in action.

  2. Democrats/liberals/progressives/anti republicans

On the national and state level there aren't many democrats in the confederate south. For example most southern states in the confederate south have 2 republican senators and the only state in confederate south that has 2 democratic senators is Virginia

  3. There aren't many southern democrats these days because those racist democrats switched to the republican party after Nixons southern strategy and the civil rights bill

Again ,whoever represents the confederate south represent the klannish. Its been that way since slavery

  4. I've lived in the South all my life except when I was in the Army.
The states I've lived in are :AL,FL,GA,SC,VA.

I'm not going to say they don't exist but everywhere I've lived they are definitely looked down upon and shunned like liberals SHOULD BE .

    Southern strategy

In American politics, the Southern strategy refers to the Republican Party strategy of winning elections in Southern states by exploiting anti-African American racism and fears of lawlessness among Southern white voters and appealing to fears of growing federal power in social and economic matters (generally lumped under the concept of states' rights). Though the "Solid South" had been a longtime Democratic Party stronghold due to the Democratic Party's defense of slavery prior to the American Civil War and segregation for a century thereafter, many white Southern Democrats stopped supporting the party following the civil rights plank of the Democratic campaign in 1948 , the African-American Civil Rights Movement, the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voting Rights Act of 1965, and desegregation.

your maps did not answer the questions posed.
Who votes for the southern democrats.
    Who does the Klan support.

Your maps confirm my repeated thesis that those hardworking people with jobs, who pay taxes are Republicans.

They may have stopped supporting democrats but the republicans voted for the civil rights acts in greater number.

And just as you say democrats changed those same democrats changed away from racism.

The only racist groups large enough to be grouped are the ones who are democrats. The Klan and Al Sharpton types.

As I have said before... republicans are busy making money to provide for their families. They are too busy paying taxes and avoiding affirmative actions lawsuits to be racist.

That top end is going back to Romney. But again... its the middle of that group which is the middle of america with jobs. hardworking tax paying americans.

And if you read more from that same page... you will see that 63% of the people who do not finish high school vote democrat.

Now where do you expect to find racists?
