15th Full day of Trading. Some tech issues off the start. Not overly sharp today. Trading is a lot of work sometimes. Tomorrow is a new day to work at it. Need to pick my spots better.
16th Full day of Trading. I quit. Ergo. 4/1. Highest vol trading day yet. I feel like a fund may have blown up on CCL. Maybe it will come out in the news. Trading larger size, getting more comfortable with it. I've realized I need to go through this period of taking bigger size, make poor decisions and get it out of the system. The more I do it, the less it matters the size. Stay alive to trade another day. Grow the skills. Master thy emotions.
Grinding the account. Grind grind grind. Not pleased with the results. Due to high activity am churning a lot of fees. Will have to discuss with account provider. Maybe switch. Pretty sure I bought the high on LK. That was fun. Tomorrow will be about - serenity.
18th Full day of trading. Small goal + serenity was the plan for today. Traded the exact same volume as yesterday. Wild. The gross was $1 off from yesterday. Deja-vu? I need to look more at the big caps. I nearly traded TSLA which would have worked. Take the weekend to refresh. I get a keyboard cleaning putty tomorrow. Be good to get multiple keyboards cleaned. Thought about getting a fancy keyboard, but will wait til I truly earn one.
19th Full day of trading. Got the putty, works amazing. Bought a gamer chair. I didn't know these chairs existed until last week. Now it needs to pay for itself. Slower day today. I'd rather eek out gains than have massive swings. Maybe in the future. Looking at setting up another platform. One with access to more markets and better buying power...and less fees. I like the quietness of trading in a vacuum albeit I read random business articles. Not necessary. Have my eye on the crypto markets. Was observing last night. Will continue to observe.
20th Full day of trading. Flat day. Gave back some gains. Not impressed. Small base hits tomorrow. Bunt singles. Walks even. I'll take a hit by pitch (no beanballs). Branching out to bigger names over $100. There are opportunities there. We'll see. Why, oh why LK did you have to be halted all day?
21st Full day of trading. I had been adding tools and screens...which have served to only distract. This afternoon I culled a lot of it. Adios. Go back to simpler times.
22nd Full day of trading. Going into today I was negative on the week...albeit relatively minor. My goal was to get back into the green. Goal accomplished. More importantly, I learned a valuable lesson about information overload. By having less on my screens, I felt more relaxed and could focus in on trades better. I also decided I need to build my account rather than find a firm to provide capital. I'd prefer to just simply trade my ideas and work to generate consistent results. I'm done with worrying about fees. Pointless. Cost of doing business. That was impacting how I traded and it was creating havoc. I also realized I don't have to spend an inordinate amount of time researching platforms, scanners, etc. I essentially have everything I need. Just need to observe charts, level II and the tape. Happy long weekend to any lurkers.
23rd Full Day of Trading. Making my broker fall in love with me, with all the volume I do. Saw on a thread about Alaric trader. I may look into an account with them. I have not been able to get any decent trades to hold for moves in a while. I may be too tight on some of the stuff. Been talking through my trades which helps. Need to have legit reasons to place a trade.
24th Full day of trading. I have to commit to trades and take a longer view. The chop is real. Earnings season is coming up. I need to be in tip top shape and ready mode. Edit: reviewed charts and haven't found any I really like. We'll see what's on the gap list tomorrow.
