Possibly a clearer picture would emerge by comparing infant mortality rates and average birthweights between Catholic societies and Muslim societies of similar socioeconomic levels. I'd be curious to see how the former European colonies compare to the never colonized, again, controlling for socioeconomic status.

Maybe you should get out of America and actualy visit one of these places where you think people are living subhuman lives. You will find that 98% of people around the world that live in poverty are much happier than middle class americans.
