Losses are part of trading the forex market; any trader that is not ready to loose at some point is not yet ready to trade the market.
Some newbie traders may afraid to lose some funds in their step, even they're still sticking around in demo account. As long as you understand the risk of this business, you will fade those fears off.
To be honest, I was this kind of trader too. Now I learn that losses is part of my trading journal and I have no power to change it but to evaluate it. Yeah, evaluate your daily trading (both profits and losses) so you wouldn't do the same mistake again.
Wow, kind of interesting that I wrote that in June. I still hate losses, but am able to cope with them better now. I've progressed from the "unsuccessful trader" category to the "successful but no track record" category. My winning days are bigger now and my losing days aren't spiraling into big losing days. Losing still sucks though, although it is a part of the game to get to winners.
The horrors of losses is always crawling within the newbie traders. I always remember one sentence from my mentor : "Erase your passion of gaining profit, focus yourself to learn"
That's a good motivation for young traders to push them to learn more about forex trading. And yeah, horrors of losses crawling beneath your sanity because you're concentrate too much on reasons to lose...
The horrors of losses itself comes from our perception. Most of traders fear to lose because they focusing too much on reasons to lose rather than reason to win...
from original poster[Partial] QUOTE concerning ''losses''="murray t turtle, post: 4208420, member: 8747"][/QUOTE] Good thoughtful[ points, mr original poster; I hated losses so much I almost[ repeat almost] quit the market. But really, losses are really a business expense; NOT saying any business man or woman should laugh @ losses[ business expense , not tax advice]; but to pretend a business does not have expense is a fantasy.LOL Wisdom is profitable to direct. So many turtles made millions, after huge losses; you may find it fun + helpful study trends. NOT a prediction.
