Which is why the best model seems to be to isolate the high risk and let the low risk out.

Then the gov't job is provide transparent data and be ready to test and trace clusters and lock down the superspreaders as fast a possible.

In a perfect world, but its not. And Jem who could not plan a lemonade stand forgets the impossibility of identifying superspreaders with so much of the population getting ill.

    Jem, you are shit.

It seems likely he'll catch this virus within a month. Too much tempting fate and "getting on with his life" including multiple trips to the beach in the early days of an outbreak.

Why do you think I have been posting mostly to the herd immunity thread I created here and the Sweden thread.... do you think there may be a connection?

On this thread I have placed numerous studies about antibodies, T-cells an other ways we may develop immunity to Covid. That is science from scientists moron. That is science moron.. go back and read.

What it means is that when people get infected some may use antibodies and some may use other mechanisms including T cells.

It means that if 15 percent test positive antibodies... you may have another 30 percent who are immune because of T-cells. So right there according to some of the studies posted here... you could have a local population with herd immunity.

Now... we are seeing scientists telling you that parts of London and N.Y. may have herd immunity.

What is a very real possibility is that Sweden is reaping the benefits of herd immunity which is why their daily infections are dropping quickly and their daily deaths are very close to zero.

That is not complicated... that is not magical.
That is what many were predicting as a possible result months ago.

So...Sweden got herd immunity by not wearing masks, and parts of NY and London got herd immunity by wearing masks?

So what do we do? Just settle somewhere in the middle and wear masks half the time?

Yeah, but the devil takes care of his own.

Its the way he thinks it all works but he forgets about linear time/causality and won't ever just give a timeline from when he felt there was enough information to go with the Sweden plan. He seems to have discovered his beloved Prado plan on April 21st?

The UK figured around mid March they could aim for herd immunity. Then they did the numbers again and backed off.

When would this plan have been recognised as possible for the US, agreed on and all the vulnerable wherever they are put in lockdown while everyone else went about their lives? Of course doing this better than Sweden who had tremendous loss of life despite being in a much better place to pull it off (and only 10 million people with high levels of cooperation and trust.)

    Details please Jem.

Can You Imagine a Govt Response dumb enough to not extinguish the virus but at the same time... long enough to begin to see antibodies disappearing?

Why in the world would people be so anti science as to use a 50% shutdown past the time we have ample hospital beds?

Thread. The US never really decided between suppression (keep R<1) and mitigation (take limited measures to e.g. keep hospitals from overflowing; basically, Sweden) and these regionally-driven flare-ups are the somewhat inevitable result.

It is extraordinary the way narcisists like Jem get so much energy just by having a little audience.

The subject matter is irrelevant, getting a response to his brain droppings is all that matters, covid, Sweden, we could be talking about artisinal paper or plants, its all about Jem's narcissistic supply.
