Does anyone think that people who can't pay cash for the necessities of life will just somehow disappear, and everyone will be rich with large amounts of surplus cash lying in interest paying bank accounts. Or possibly you prefer the old way which was to live with your parents until you were in your fifties and had saved enough to by a small house with cash. P.S. It must be expanded on VASTLY every moment, every day, every week, every month, and every year, just to allow the system itself to function day to day. If the amount of debt being borrowed into existence were to remain at its current level, without being expanded on, the entire system would FREEZE UP in an instant.
Debt is not necessary to a growing economy but it is very useful if you want the rate of growth to be greater. And debt isn't useful unless there is a paying-off of debt as well. You have to have both debt and debt destruction to get sustained growth. And because our planet and its ecosystem is of finite size, growth can not be sustained forever. A characteristic of advanced economies is that they slow their growth rate spontaneously and can come to a virtual standstill or even contract a little depending on birth rate. Human nature plays a role as well.

It's a really good vid, compelling indeed. I've not gone to source material on that event so my uninformed opinion has a lot of questions. At first glance, it's more likely than not to be a cover up for an inside job of a still-at-large rogue bad actor. However I do remember being on an airplane, seated by seatbelts fasten and having the news come through. It was very surreal as we all dis-embarked off the plane and back into the terminal to be a sea of travelers glued to the screens to witness the second plane to hit. Everyone one was in shock. It turned into the calm before the storm of finding rapidly decreasing options of hospitality. All airfare shut down for 3 days. Loved how quiet things got, not so much the reason why. Well, that's a partial truth, it gave time to reflect on the "why" and motivations of the attackers. US is a bit of a bully.
