West of Wall Street by George Angell and Barry Haigh

Just finished reading it last week. This book is about day trading at CME S&P 500 futures pit in the 80s. It was written just before 87 crash. This book is quite old, but a lot of things that are being described there are very applicable today. I highly recommend it to read to anyone who wants to day trade. It is not really applicable to people with swing time horizon, tough is definitely an entertaining read.

One of the reason why things described in this book are applicable is because electronic trading in today’s world give you similar execution possibilities the floor trades had back in a day. Plus we have charts, T&S and central DOM. Some of the edges are gone of course.

    Enjoy.
