The cut welfare spending /pro life issue is one of the great mysteries of republican logic. One of the biggest issues republicans bitch about is welfare spending. On the other hand one of the biggest issues republicans fight for is forcing women to have children they cant afford.Do republicans not realize that when a women has a child she cant afford the government has to take care of that child from the moms medical / delivery costs while pregnant until the child is 18 .The government pays for that childs food, housing, health care and education .The government has to pay for that child even longer if the child ends up in prison like many unloved children from single parent homes do
You didn't really say that, did you? Maybe you should read this little story about the Clinton experience and broaden your perspective. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/06/20/...er-did-not-have-access-to-planned-parenthood/
Since you are pro life you have no problems with the government paying for childrens care when the parents cant right ?
I guess you didn't read the story. My comment was about abstinence or birth control which you seem to reject in preference to abortion. BTW, there are long lines of people looking for kids to adopt.
Obviously abstinence or birth control doesn't always work which is why we have abortion, even Sarah Palins kid got knocked up and her son knocked up his girlfriend before the were married. So if an irresponsible person gets pregnant you support the government taking care of the kid for 18 years right if the mom cant right ?
White new borns yes, older and minority kids not so much. There is a reason so many kids are in foster homes.
I don't know where you're getting you information. Inner city, (always democratic), drop out rates are sky high compared to rural. Testing in inner cities have been dumbed down to the point an actual moron can pass, and the graduation rate is still horrible. http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-201_162-3985714.html Illegals are paying taxes now but still receiving more in return than they pay into the system. That will not change simply by making them legal. In fact it will make it worse because they will then be eligible for more benefits while their income/tax rate, for all practical purposes, will remain the same. Read the entire article. The meat of it is towards the end. http://www.thefiscaltimes.com/Artic...Billions-in-Taxes-and-Reap-Rewards.aspx#page1
You are talking about older kids who weren't put up for adoption when they were born to people who didn't want them. As far as those in foster homes, You can't abort a 10 year old kid. Or maybe in your mind, you can.
