  1. Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber are the high hopes for the GOP...

I can only hope they continue to punch that ticket...

Fresh off his stint as a war correspondent in Gaza, Joe the Plumber is now doing political strategy with Republicans.

When GOP congressional aides gather Tuesday morning for a meeting of the Conservative Working Group, Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher – more commonly known as Joe the Plumber — will be their featured guest. This group is an organization of conservative Capitol Hill staffers who meet regularly to chart GOP strategy for the week.

Wurzelbacher, who became a household name during the presidential election, will be focusing his talk on the proposed stimulus package. He's apparently not a fan of the economic rescue package, according to members of the group.

If nothing else, GOP aides are using the appearance to get staffers to attend the 9 a.m meeting.

“In case you weren’t planning to attend CWG tomorrow morning, you might want to reconsider because Joe the Plumber will be joining us!” Kimberly Wallner, an aide to South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, wrote in a message to her e-mail list this afternoon.

Last month, Wurzelbacher did a brief stint as a war reporter for the conservative web site pjtv.com.

  2. Joe the Plumber is a useless piece of white trash. His 15 minutes are long over. He needs to get back to reporting to his blue collar job and putting in 8 hours of manual labor.

  3. Joe the plumber is a douche. can't stand this piece of crap............just go away !

  4. Actually, the GOP dream ticket seems to have won the election. All they need to do is sit back and watch the circus unfold.

  5. Indeed.

  6. *Sigh*

If you can't win, then you must spin. Feeling dizzy yet, Cap'n?

Meanwhile, Joe the non-Plumber maintains traction with the GOP. Birds of a feather, eh? :p

  7. A child watching the circus, an apt description of the G.O.bviousP.ee'ers...

The little boy in black and white, holding a book with a GOP elephant performing tricks on the back cover...

  8. At least Joe paid his friggin' taxes. For some reason, people around Obama seem to have problems doing that.

  9. Really? How refreshing.

"...Moreover, for someone worried about his taxes, Wurzelbacher doesn't -- it appears - always pay them. A filing with the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas shows that he has had state tax liens filed against him, meaning he was either delinquent or didn't fully cover taxes that he owed..."

  10. Ordinary guy gets the book thrown at him for owing probably a minor sum. For Daschle, Geithner, Rangel, and probably hundreds of other crooked dems, there appear to be no penalties whatsoever for blatant tax evasion. These three guys failed to report income, which is right at the top of serious tax crimes. The government often seeks jail time for failure to declare income cases, particularly when the taxpayer is a lawyer or accountant.
