  5. I guess what he means is range bounded.

    ES was very range bounded and structured back in 2002 and 2003. Even in 2006 you can out guess where the top or bottom will be put in for the day once a trend has started.

    Nowadays, we may get 16 pts "tight range" for 2 days, then a all hell break loose day with 30, 40, or more pts. with no boundary in sight.

    To the poster on rangy stuff,

    The spread of NQ and ES has not increased in range. Check it out.

  8. I also day trade 6, but mine are a little different.

    ES
    ER2 (my favorite mkt)
    CL
    EC
    30 year
    Gold

    At any given time I am only in one or two positions, but watching 6 gives me more opportunities. Ya need several screens though.
